Raleigh's Premier Window Replacement Company

At Windows USA, we manufacture our own windows and patio doors in our factory in Arkansas, an easy ride for our windows to Raleigh. This allows us to offer the same or better performance as the big-name window companies without their big price tags.

Our Window System

At Windows USA®, we love to create amazing windows that inspire imagination and excitement in changing how your home looks and feels with a focus on making sure that each product is individually designed and crafted with a promise to exceed your expectations.

Energy Star Windows for Raleigh Area Residents

Windows USA windows are ENERGY STAR certified for South-Central and Southern climate zones. According to ENERGY STAR, “Replacing old windows with ENERGY STAR certified windows lowers household energy bills by an average of up to 13 percent nationwide when replacing single-pane windows. Lower energy consumption also reduces greenhouse gas emissions from power plants and homes.”

Rebates & Tax Incentives

According to the IRS’ Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit program, “if you make qualified energy-efficient improvements to your home after Jan. 1 2023, you may qualify for a tax credit,” which, for windows, is set at a maximum of $600 per year and for sliding glass doors is set at $250 per door per year.

The state of North Carolina released its version of the Home Energy Efficiency Rebate (HOMES) program in January 2025. Some rebates may be stackable with the federal credit; be sure to review all requirements and investigate to ensure that you qualify and apply correctly.

Why Raleigh Homeowners Need Windows USA Windows and Sliding Patio Doors!

Raleigh’s unique climate demands windows that can handle both hot summers and cold winters. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, average temperatures range from 30 °F to 52 °F in winter and 73 °F to 94 °F in summer, although extremes (+10 °F higher and –30 °F lower than normal) have been recorded. To protect against those extremes, all Windows USA windows have multi-chambered frames and sashes to create space that prevents thermal transfer, creating one of the strongest vinyl windows available, and an innovative sash-interlocking system creates a strong continuous seal to resist air and water infiltration beyond industry standards.

Raleigh Metropolitan Area Rain and Snow Makes Choosing the Right Windows and Patio Doors Critical

Additionally, according to the National Centers for Environmental Information, the Raleigh area generally receives between 40 and 60 inches of precipitation annually, making it critical that your windows and patio doors are sealed from the elements—just like Windows USA’s innovative sash-interlocking system, Intercept® Ultra airtight spacer, and strategically placed “weep holes” that let exterior water drain out, keeping water where it belongs: outside.

Sunlight Strength in the Raleigh Metropolitan Area Is an Important Factor in Window Selection!

According to the CDC, the Raleigh area, and North Carolina in general, has an Average Daily Dose of Ultraviolet (UV) light on the higher end of their scale versus other states in the continental United States.

UV Radiation’s Impact on You

According to the International Ultraviolet Association, ordinary window glass allows UVA light to enter your home. And the Skin Cancer Foundation says that UVA rays are a main cause of premature skin aging.

UV Radiation’s Impact on Your Windows and Sliding Patio Doors

Ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths can penetrate solid surfaces, significantly damaging most materials that receive overabundant exposure. Vinyl and other materials can suffer undesirable mechanical, physical and chemical degradation from solar radiation, leading to cracking, chalking, color changes, and the loss of physical properties without protection. UV light can also damage furniture, fabrics, flooring, artwork, and photos.

Windows USA windows and patio doors have a UV inhibitor added to ensure the vinyl color will not fade, flake, or peel, even under extreme conditions. The glass is triple-layer coated and:

  • blocks even more solar gain, reflects heat, and lets the light stream in,
  • outperforms tinted glass often used in warm climates,
  • rejects the sun’s heat without spoiling visibility,
  • blocks 95 % of the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays, protecting your furniture, carpets, curtains, and wall coverings for years to come,
  • delivers superior insulating capability, helping keep your home comfortable when it’s cold outside.

The dramatic comfort improvement from windows with warm glass surfaces also means the relative humidity of indoor air can be controlled properly. Proper humidity levels improve comfort and promote a healthier living environment.

Raleigh residents should also consider daily sun path relative to window orientation, and consult the U.S. DOE Consumer Guide to Energy-Efficient Windows to determine any special glazing requirements.

The Prevalence of Tornadoes in the Raleigh Area Is Another Factor

Unfortunately, Raleigh and Wake County experience a notable number of tornadoes. According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center (SPC), different areas in North Carolina have recorded high tornado counts over the past 35 years. No window can protect against all tornadoes—certainly not a direct hit—but properly selected windows and patio doors help guard against extreme weather and temperatures.

Raleigh’s Air Quality and How That Impacts Your Choice of Windows and Sliding Patio Doors

Generally, according to the U.S. EPA Air Quality System (AQS), air quality across most of North Carolina is very good, with some areas of slightly elevated particulate matter in Raleigh specifically. Windows and patio doors with airtight seals help mitigate the risks of poorer-quality air. Windows USA products include Intercept® Ultra airtight spacers and an innovative sash-interlocking system to resist air and water infiltration beyond industry standards.

Noise Exposure for Raleigh Residents

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, North Carolina generally does not have high levels of noise exposure (aviation, highway, and rail) compared to other areas of the country—except larger cities like Raleigh, which do show higher levels. Your distance from airports, major roads, and rail lines will vary, affecting noise pollution at your home. Noise pollution “adversely affects the lives of millions” and “has direct links to health,” according to the EPA. Enjoy a quieter home with our double-pane windows that effectively block outside noise, perfect for Raleigh’s bustling neighborhoods.

National Transportation Noise Exposure Map

Our double pane vinyl windows are designed to provide superior insulation, reducing energy costs and enhancing comfort year-round. Here's why our windows are perfect for Raleigh area homes:

  • Energy Efficiency: Argon-filled double panes significantly reduce heat transfer, keeping homes cool in summer and warm in winter.
  • Durability: Vinyl resists warping, cracking, and corrosion, ensuring years of low-maintenance performance.
  • Noise Reduction: Dual-pane construction dampens outside noise.
  • Enhanced Security: Advanced locking mechanisms add an extra layer of protection.

Tailored Solutions for Raleigh Homes

We understand that every home is unique. That’s why we offer customized window solutions to fit your specific needs. Whether you’re in Raleigh proper or Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Durham, Chapel Hill, Holly Springs, Knightdale, or anywhere in the Triangle, our team provides personalized service and expert installation.

Why Replace Your Old Windows?
