These are the same things worth checking on any quote you're handed, whether you bring it to us or not.
An estimate qualifies when it is

- Inside the window of time Within 30 days of your signed contract with Windows USA.
What doesn't qualify
- Closeout and clearance pricing Closeout, discontinued, or liquidation pricing doesn't qualify.
- A number you can't check A verbal price or a quote that can't be verified can't be matched.
- A different window A different frame material, a lesser glass package, or lower energy ratings makes it a different window at a different price.
- A different job A quote for fewer windows, different styles, or a different address isn't a like-for-like comparison.

Most window quotes aren't hard to compare because the prices differ — they're hard to compare because the quotes describe different jobs. One itemizes every opening; another says "whole house." One includes trim, disposal, and cleanup; another adds them later. One is a triple-pane with argon fill; another is a double-pane that looks the same from the street.
That's why our guarantee asks for a written quote for the same number and style of windows, with comparable frame material, glass package, energy ratings, and installation scope. It isn't a hurdle — it's the only way two numbers can honestly be set against each other.

No. The guarantee does not apply to closeout, discontinued, or liquidation pricing. Those are one-time prices on stock being cleared out, not a price the other company would charge to build and install the same windows in your home — so there's no like-for-like comparison to make.
Because otherwise it isn't the same purchase. Two windows that look identical from the driveway can have completely different frames and glass packages inside — different Low-E coatings, gas fill, and spacer material — and that's a large share of both the price and the performance you actually feel.
